Frequently asked questions

What is Space Atlas?

Space Atlas is an interactive 3D map and directory of the global space industry. It lists 1,635 organisations — companies, 514 startups, 129 space agencies, spaceports, research centres, universities, associations and investors — in 102 countries, with their headquarters, additional sites, sectors and links.

How is the data collected and kept up to date?

Each organisation is verified against its official website and public sources before it is added. New organisations and locations are added every day, region by region, and recent changes are listed on the What's new page and its RSS feed.

Is Space Atlas free to use?

Yes. The map, the directory and every organisation profile are free to browse. Paid plans add research tools such as comparisons, exports and saved lists.

How can I add or correct an organisation?

Use the Suggest page to propose a missing organisation, or the "Suggest an edit" button on any profile. Organisations can also claim their own profile.
